Simple Steps to Better Skin Care in 2010 – Part 3

A resolution for “Better Skin Care in 2010” wouldn’t be complete without covering skin health for the body and scalp. Like the face, the body and hair need support, repair and nourishment to maintain a healthy and youthful appearance. Many cosmeceutical and organic ingredients found in facial skin care formulas deliver the same benefits to the body and hair.

Caring for the body
Look for products that offer hydration and mild exfoliation, encourage cell turnover, support the tissue, and repair or reverse the effects of photo-aging. A few ingredients necessary to stimulate this action include corrective peptides, oxygenators, amino acids, Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), vitamins, isoflavones, AHAs, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids, all of which are mainstays in the Rhonda Allison Nude Therapies body line.

For a good home-care regimen, start with an enzyme-rich body wash , followed by an exfoliant  or body peel , which will lift dead skin cells, refresh and revitalize. To nourish and rebuild the skin use a peptide spirtz  and body lotion  that contain EGF, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. You’ll want to hydrate daily, but limit the exfoliation to no more than three times per week.

Caring for the hair and scalp
For the hair, proper care starts at the scalp. When the scalp is nourished and cared for it creates an ideal environment for hair growth and follicle renewal. Because the scalp is skin, many of the same ingredients used for body and face rejuvenation also work for the scalp.

The Rhonda Allison Age Inhibit Hair System , for instance uses, a patented Mitochondria Nano Complex to improve collagen production, prevent breakage, improve oxygen uptake and cellular respiration, while delivering antioxidants to the scalp. The compounds in this system also work together to stimulate protein biosynthesis and cell vitality, increase energy production in scalp tissue and the number of hair follicles, anchor hair to the root, improve hair density, and prevent scalp disorders.

Starting with the shampoo , focus on the scalp, massaging it into the skin. Be careful not to over wash. Follow with the conditioner , massaging it into the hair and scalp. Allow it to process for at least five minutes. Next apply the Peptide Spritz  to the root while the hair is wet, pulling it through with your fingers. Leave this on then apply the Scalp Serum . Massage the serum into the skin and be sure to leave it on to stimulate and revitalize hair follicles.

Thanks for the tips and recommendations! I must admit I am horrible at taking care of my own skin!
