Education Unlocks Success

The great inventor Thomas Edison once said “genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.” While I do agree that diligence and intense focus is a key to success, I think inspiration plays a much greater role in the equation. Inspiration is what keeps you going. It drives that thirst for knowledge, reignites passion and keeps you sharp.

Since graduating aesthetic school years ago, I continually sought out opportunities to learn, hone my skills and reinvent my craft. As aestheticians, I know many of us take on the role of inventor – constantly creating new ways to solve skin challenges. Education, of course, is essential to this process. Whether through self-education, experimentation or training courses, constant learning will keep you at the forefront in this industry.

At Rhonda Allison, we wholeheartedly believe in the power of knowledge, which is why we offer countless webinars, published materials and training courses throughout the year. Recently the Rhonda Allison team led an Advanced Aesthetics Cosmeceutical Skin Peel Course in Arizona at the Southwest Institute of Natural Aesthetics (SWINA).

Aestheticians from throughout the country came for a day of education to sharpen their skills and advance their understanding of skin and skin rejuvenation. The drive and hunger for knowledge exuded by these professionals inspired me. There is much to be said for SWINA’s approach and commitment to education as well, which is why their school is a leader in higher learning and why they were a natural fit for us.

Knowledge not only keeps you on the cutting edge, but you may also find that through research, reading and attending advanced learning courses you will begin to make connections and generate ideas you never thought possible. Knowledge spawns ideas, which spawns innovation – and innovation in skin care will make you a greater asset to your clients.

A few master aestheticians, along with SWINA Executive Director Julie Stafford, shared their thoughts on education with us in this short video.

Whether through self-education, research, training or webinars I hope this has inspired you to take hold of your future and make an effort to always be learning. Remember, if you ever feel your passion beginning to wane, education is one way to revive it. For more educational tools click here or to view from our webinar archives click here .

Great post. Making a strong effort to continue to better ourselves is vital in living a successful life.(my opinion) I like how you said to look for signs like your passion beginning to wane.

The video is a great testimonial to how well the RA team works together and support clients!

A great testimonial for education! One of the things that sets Rhonda Allison apart from other skin care lines is the phenomenal education available to her clients through so many different medias - hands on training in classes, videos, books, on-line webinars, email, etc. Not all of us learn the same way - some learn by seeing, some by hearing, and some by doing. By offering so many different venues, everyone is insured learning opportunities - and we are never too old to learn!
